Shopping with the Girls
It was an active weekend here at the Point. On Saturday I took the girls out for a mom/daughter shopping day. All of them needed something from shoes to under garments and we all needed to spend some time together.

For two whole days I walked up to people to talk to them, I introduced myself, made eye contact, asked about people’s interests and lives, Tweeted invitations to meet, etc.
Truthfully, we don’t take much notice of the government holidays around here. I mean, I have mad respect for the President (I don’t have to agree to have respect) and all of the Presidents that went before him.
I have much to do to get my little love gifts ready. I’m writing notes to the kids and giving them teeny things. For James’ I’m making his favorite dinner, homemade egg rolls. Nothing says love to James like a homemade egg roll.
I only have time today for a quick hello since I’m getting a late start and we have a birthday here today. Happy 14th birthday to my Noah!
We’re heading into a busy weekend with the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. All day for three days. My older kids like to stay late and do every last session. Mamma wants to sleep.
I’ve always liked Mondays. The weekends are nice, but with a houseful of kids it’s easier to be on a routine. Weekends are all “Mom, may I make a rocketship?” and “Mommy, do we have any AA batteries?!”
It would not be possible for me to tell you all about my weekend.
Today I’m packing to head north for the Homeschool Moms’ Winter Summit tomorrow. If you’re going to be there please Tweet me and let me know. But even if you aren’t you can follow along using the hashtag #hssummit.
It was one of those weekends that seemed longer than 2 days. We got lots done and had plenty of down time too. Looking back, I’m not sure how we did it.
