Space Walk
Our kids entered a 36-hour video contest this weekend. They got their assignment at 9:00 on Friday morning and had to turn it in on Saturday.
Here’s the result….a three minute sci-fi spoof.

For the past few years I used shells and did a beach thing, but I was tired of it. So I did what I usually do, I obsessed over it for a while then I got an idea and obsessed even more.
I had so many plans for today. I was going to swim with my boys, help Hope learn to make pizza and finish photographing my new summer decor to show you all. But you know how those things go…..my children got in the way. Why do I have so many kids anyway?
If you don’t know me in real life, you don’t know the real joy it is to be around me. So I thought I’d give you an inside look into some things that have happened in the past few days.
James and I had a sort of vacation this weekend. We left home all day Friday and Saturday to work at the THSC booth at a homeschool conference. It was like a mini honeymoon, without the romance or beach umbrellas.
I was outside watering the plants and thinking about how much better they grow when they are watered by rain, God’s watering system. There is something in the rain that gives them energy and nourishes them that water from the hose simply can not do.
Having given birth nine times, I felt I deserved something extra amazing for Mother’s Day. Amen?
It’s been a week of change. James and I stepped down from being President of our local homeschool group, Adam got his palatal expander off, we made the decision to get rid of our goats and the biggest news of all…I dyed my hair.
I can’t wait to tell you what’s been in the plans.
It’s been like a beehive around here lately. People in and out, kids begging to swim, end of the year homeschool group stuff, food, birthdays, laundry….one can never forget laundry.
