As of the writing of this post I have no idea what time it is. The power has been out since 2AM and just now it came back on and my clock is flashing 12:00. 12:00. 12:00.
But have you ever though of it as art? Art is enchanting and art is messy and each workmanship is unique. It involves creativity and humanness and mistakes. You can’t have a quality piece of art without a lot of trial and error and erasing and lessons.
Have you ever watched the show “Extreme Couponing”? I watched it last week and by the end I was feeling pretty inadequate. I don’t use coupons at the grocery store.
Having our kitchen finished added a nice air of relaxation to our weekend. Or it could have been the fact that there weren’t paint supplies and orphaned dishes covering the kitchen island.
When we blame others for our choices, it not only keeps us from maturing and growing in areas we need to, but it hinders having whole, healthy relationships.
Well friends, I did it. I survived for 50 years. I know, it comes as a shock to me too. Here’s a list of 40 things I love about turning 50!
I did a short workout this morning with the hope that it would help keep my legs from going stiff. They are “stove up” as my grandfather used to say. My calves are used to move movement and they have protested this limited use.
I am not hesitant to share how incredible God is and that His hand has been so obvious through all of our sorrow and tears. Despite the overwhelming agony of loss, the unspeakable joy that has cropped up all around me has to be shared!
I’ve been working, working, getting ready for the Summit, which means a lot of time spent reading the Bible as I prepare for a couple of sessions I am teaching. And a lot more time praying.
