Washington DC in the Springtime
It would be impossible to tell you everything about the past weekend. It’s been a flurry of new friends and shuttle buses and Tweets.

When I told you last week that had some great giveaways coming up I wasn’t kidding. This is another doozy!
We are having fun taking pictures of what we are wearing each day and showing it to you. It’s become our morning ritual….get dressed, take pictures, eat breakfast, enjoy the rest of the day, repeat.
If you missed my HUGE giveaway yesterday then you must go back and enter. Sure, there are thousands of entries so far, but someone has to win and it might as well be YOU!
I very, very rarely post a recipe on here because, well, let’s just say if you ate my cooking you would not be asking me for recipes. It’s all about burning food and underseasoning at my house.
You know I’m a Texas girl and that means big and proud things happen around here! Today I have a Texas sized giveaway that you are going to LOVE!
It would be impossible, without writing an entire book, to tell you all that has gone on in my life over the past few days. The length of “War and Peace” has nothin’ on my weekend.
One of the problems with being a stay at home mom is the lack of interest in getting dressed. As hard as it is sometimes, I make myself get dressed and somewhat put together even though I’m not going out or seeing anyone but my family.
I am now in a shopping stupor. Last Friday we shopped for my retail birthday girl and yesterday it was my thrift store girl’s turn. Sixteen years old and she’d rather go thrifting with Mom than anything in the world. How precious is that?!
I have such a hard time getting my younger kids to brush their teeth long enough to get them clean. Unless I’m standing right there with them saying, “Nope, brush more,” they stop after about 15 seconds.
