Why Does it Have to Happen Every Year?!

OK, I’m just going to tell y’all straight up that I get a little grumpy when the time changes.  I complain a lot, unlike my regular complaining that I do the rest of the year.  I feel constantly sleepy and then about a month after it happens I will be sitting outside at 8:45 PM with the little ones tucked into bed and the sun still peeking over the horizon and I will finally think to myself, “I guess I don’t mind it so much.”

On Saturday evening Noah and I went all around the house changing the clocks for the next day.  It wasn’t until sometime the next morning that we realized we had turned them the wrong direction and we were 2 hours off!  Thankfully I hadn’t gone up into Jacob’s room to change his clock, thus making him way off time for work.  I thought about changing his clock, but then I remembered how Jacob prefers to do his own clock maintenance.  I wonder why.  Doesn’t he trust me?

Last night we had our first outdoor dinner of the season.  That’s one of the things I do like about the time change….dinner outside.  We have a patio where we love to sit and eat, then kick back while the younger ones run around and the rest of us talk.  Sometimes we talk about the latest world news and sometimes we just listen to James sing TV theme songs from the 70s.  It’s a gamble.

Some time yesterday afternoon I recovered enough from the time change to get my new products listed in the shop.  I want to show you just a few of them.  I’m so excited!

A Pair of Silhouette Buckets, so cute!

Jars wrapped in burlap, LOVE them!!!  I can think of a dozen ways to use these.

And my newest creation, the Family Letter Pillow

It’s a new version of our Family Number Pillow which is one of our best sellers.

There’s a lot more to see over at Shop 24.

Speaking of shops…..my friend Gina has done something so cute and amazing that I have to show you!  She has moved her etsy shop to her own place, The Shabby Creek Shop, and made a look book that I am drooling over.  Really, it’s just so lovely.  I hope you’ll take a couple of minutes to go through the book and soak in the genius that is Gina.

Have a great week.  I will be trying to keep my complaining to a minimum.  But it’s hard.  I’m very sleepy.

  1. I don’t get grumpy but wonder why it is that when the time change happens events conspire to keep us up later than usual and then we lose and hour on top of it!

    Crazy!

I love your stuff in your shop and your friends look book!

    Very pretty and fresh!

  2. We have to turn our time back soon, as much as I love daylight savings time, I am ready for it to change back, it’s way too dark in the morning now!
