Tote Bags and Pirates

I have really enjoyed hearing from so many of you about my silver dresser.  My dad even weighed in with his opinion, and that’s no small thing.

So the silver dresser is going to find a new home in another part of the house.  Now I am on a hunt for a bedside table.  I’m not going to put the trunk back.  It wasn’t working.  Every time I needed something out of it I had to take everything off of the top.  I am nothing if not lazy….so I decided it had to be moved.  Since I know you all are riveted to my bedside table dilemma, I will keep you informed.

Shifting gears…..with Mother’s Day coming up I have listed some new things in my shop.  My deadline for Mother’s Day orders is this Saturday.

Of course there’s my Monogram Frame Set which has become a customer favorite:

And I’ve got a new frame, my Square White Picture Frame, that I just love.  I can put any words, phrases or names on it:

And just last weekend I listed a summer tote bag.  I’ve geniusly named it, “Summer Tote Bag.”

I was going to write, “Great gift ideas for your beloved mother,” but then I realized it sounds like something written for a funeral.  Clearly I need to work on my marketing skills.

I have to show you this next picture, because it makes me so happy.  But I want to be clear…..this is NOT for sale.

My little pirate.  He’s been plundering and pillaging for the past few days.

Oh man!  Kids are so much fun.  I could eat him with a spoon.  But I’d better not.  I’m sure it would lead to me walking the plank.

Happy Wednesday to you all!

  1. Love it! That frame is genius. And the tote bag adorable!! But the pirate, oh my! Surely one of the cutest pirates I’ve ever seen.

And, checking again, did you get my email about the family pillow? The great dog story/review I sent? Wondering if I have the right email and should re-send it to you. Thanks!

  2. I count it a privilege to have encountered this pirate in person yesterday. Never was a pirate so polite – it made me question his authenticity…

  3. I know, right? My pirate beats Captain Jack Sparrow any day!

    I love three year olds.

Reader, yes, I got your review and am planning to post it soon. Thanks!

Becky, I definitely send as gifts. People ask me to do that all of the time.

    Lisa~

  4. Oooh arrrr! Cutest pirate I’ve ever seen (but don’t *dare* tell him I said that!)

The stuff in your Etsy shop is so wonderful.

We have our Mother’s Day (here in the UK) at the end of March. Both our daughters were born on Mother’s Day – how cool is that!

Mother’s Day 1995, I go into labour 14 days late – a daughter is born. Mother”s Day 1997, I go into labour 14 days late – daughter #2 is born. No kidding x

  5. You’ve been a busy Queen P. (I just HAD to change the B to a P…) Love all your goodies!

But the pirate (who so closely resembles his awesome mother, arggghhh) is perfectly pirate perfect! Are you sure you wouldn’t part with him?! I just gave my child to a very tall, harry legged man. Oh, I forgot. She married him.

  6. Greatly amused now knowing what you would look like as a pirate! Super cute 🙂 This may be a look you want to explore cause he looks JUST like you and look how well it works for him. Your summer tote bag would be PERFECT as a library tote … something I really could have used yesterday with all those books and all those kids and all that wind getting up under my skirt in the parking lot :\

  7. Hi Lisa. Abbie just drew your name for the homeschool giveaway over at my blog! Send me your address via email and I’ll get it right out to you.
