Me and My Shadow

Strolling down the aaaaa–vuhhh–NU. ♫

All day every day I have a two year old with me. He goes where I go. He sits by me during school time; he plays at my feet while I’m sewing; he brings me plastic food when I’m hungry.

Today, as I was photographing some new items for my Etsy shop, he wanted in on the action. I was taking pictures of this guy….

He is modeling my new doggie bandana design. I mean, how long can a dog go without a new bandana? And if you’re saying to yourself, “My dog doesn’t need a bandana,” then keep in mind that there are other uses for it. I have a couple of them on my boys’ stuffed animals. That way there’s no question which bear belongs to who (or is it whom?)

Anyway, baby boy kept saying, “I sit down,” and, “Mommy take my picture.”

That’s too hard to resist. So I let him climb up on the bench and we shot a few of him with the bear. It is his bear, after all.

He looked so cute I thought about letting him pose in the bandana. But it just seemed wrong to put a dog accessory on my child.

Not sure why, but I could just picture myself on Oprah trying to explain that.

My shadow and I have several new listings on Etsy in addition to the super cute doggie bandana that everyone needs.

Our plush baby blanket is so cozy I want to snuggle up in it! It is monogrammed with the baby’s name on one side and the birthdate on the other.

And this burpcloth is almost as sweet to look at as the baby I made it for.

Come by the shop and take a look.

In the meantime, I’d better get back to work. I am supposed to be eating this plastic plate of spaghetti.

Arrivederci!

Don't all dogs wear monogramed bandanas? Guess Spirit and Fluffy will have to visit Etsy. Cute stuff.
