Lala’s Room

I’m excited to show you the second bedroom we did at the cottage.  An older girl needs a more mature room and she surely got that.

I immediately hit it off with Lala (her nickname) when I saw that her inspiration for the room was her favorite purse…

I have the same purse and it is also one of my faves!

The room started off needing trim, so Mr Cha Cha and I worked on that while the other ladies hand painted the curtains for this room.

He and I had to do some real hard cypherin’ to figure out how to trim out the windows.

The two guys built all of the furniture in here (except the bed) and it turned out spectacularly!  Leslie will tell you more about the gorgeous side tables.

Polly and Cha Cha got a really creative idea for Lala’s jewelry.  Cha Cha will tell you all about it.

Angie painted her little heart out and did a great job.  She will let you know all about the red cabinet that the husbands built.  It’s my favorite piece from the whole weekend.

Polly made almost all of the pillows and they are amazing.  Check out her blog to see how she did it.

Gina‘s daughters were a delight to be around.  It made the makeovers even more fun to do.  Since I have a monogram shop, it seemed only logical that I would monogram a pillow for each room.  I sat with them and let them show me exactly what they wanted me to monogram on their pillows.

This yellow thread would go great with her mustard yellow side tables.

I love the little doodlebug pillow.  It just makes you smile.

Lala, being an artist, needed an artist’s monogrammed pillow.

This room is just as gorgeous as it’s sister room….but more sophisticated. Just what a young woman needs.

What a great time we all had!
