The Right List

Things I had planned to do before starting school again on January 11th:

1) Have all of the Christmas decorations put away.
2) Clean out the storage building while I’m putting away Christmas decorations.
3) Organize the school area.
4) Clean out my closet.
5) Add 20 new items to my Etsy shop.
6) Start exercising and losing weight.
7) Sew new pillows for my bed.
8) Have birthday gifts all wrapped and ready for kid’s birthday this Saturday.

Things I got done:

1) Put away most of the Christmas decorations
2) Cleaned off one shelf in the school area
3) Took a shower.

Why do we do this to ourselves?

I’ve decided that I used the wrong list.

This is a more realistic one:

1) Hug my kids.
2) Laugh at my husband’s jokes (this is the hardest one!)
3) Make lots of soup and bread for my sickies.
4) Pray for the people I love.

I did it all and I’m satisfied with that.

  1. Much better.

I hope your sickies (not to be confused with your Sickie and his thing for t.v. tunes) are better soon.

  2. Hope everyone is feeling better now.

It's great to have our own lists, and it's even better when we always make time for the important stuff not on the list. : )
