I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I started this series. I intended to simply share what we wore each week, but it turned into so much more than that.
It’s only 2 more days before Christmas and our family is closing the doors and celebrating with just us. We will have more of a family party on Christmas Eve with lots of appetizers and games.
On Friday I locked my bedroom door and pulled all I had out of my closet. I sorted through it, much like Santa does but without the elves to carry everything for me.
People ask me all the time, “What’s your secret? How did you do it?!” I disappoint them every time when I tell them it’s just good old-fashioned diet and exercise. No tricks, no surgery, no magic pill. Bummer, right?
OK, I am not adjusting well to this recent time change. I start falling asleep on my feet at 8:00 every night and can’t sleep past 5:00 in the morning. Is this what getting old looks like?
It’s been 4 months since I started trying to get healthy. I wanted to lose weight and take better care of myself. I was resolved to change my diet, but I just did not want to exercise.
This week I hit the 50# weight loss mark. I am stunned. I would not have believed that I could do that. I have struggled for so many years to get a handle on my weight and to be 100% honest, I didn’t think I had the stamina to do it.
I just got home from 5 days of adventure and sadness. It was a weird, but sweet weekend at the Allume conference.
