How to Make an “Old” Sign

Fixing up the outside of our home has never been our strong suit.
I had been dreading this past weekend for months. I am not good with busyness and running around. I start to fall apart quickly and I “crash”.
I remember once I asked James about the saying, “You can have your cake and eat it too.” I didn’t understand what it meant. How could you eat it and still have it? This was a concept I could get into. Cake. I like it.
In honor of the dreadful work we will be doing in the yard together this weekend, I am showing my favorite pins that have inspired me…
It’s hot people. I’m sorry to bemoan that fact since many of you are sweltering while reading this. But it’s pretty much all I can think about. We’ve been working out in the yard for the past three days and my stomach is feeling the heat.
Having given birth nine times, I felt I deserved something extra amazing for Mother’s Day. Amen?
Why, oh why, did I ask to build a deck around the pool this week?
Besides James being exhausted from his finals and me being exhausted from dealing with my dad’s hospitalization…..it’s HOT!!!!
Jacob and I were outside by 7:00 this morning to get the platform built for the pool ladder.
Patience likes to help…so she held the boards for Jacob while Noah and I assembled the ladder.
