6 Reasons I Won’t Miss the Summit
I realized that I have talked a lot about the Homeschool Moms’ Winter Summit but I haven’t told you why I love it so much.

Sometimes I just want to read simple Bible stories to my kids. We look at the pictures and talk about the art and story and how it works into God’s plan for us. Just good old Bible time.
Week 3 of the “Lisa is way too busy” season is behind me. We had our Winter Summit planning retreat here this weekend and it was fabulous! You don’t want to miss this event!
On Saturday morning I was off for the day with my 17 year old daughter Faith to see what goodness we could find at Round Top. We always have a fun time together and laughed pretty much the whole way.
Sunday we had set aside for a family work day outside. The weather was fan-tabulous and we all enjoyed being out there. We pulled weeds and cleaned the pool and picked up rocks in the field.
Reading to my kids is one of my favorite pastimes. I don’t care if it’s a novel that we read over a couple of weeks or a children’s book that we can read in a few minutes, we all look forward to reading time.
Do each of your kids have their own Bible? Most of mine do and my 10 year old, Elijah, had been asking if he could get his own so he didn’t have to borrow one whenever he needed to look things up.
I’ve been working on getting all of my school classes lined up for the next year. Figuring out what to do with each of the 6 I will have in school this year and finding the time to give them the individual attention they need is not easy.
Well, I’m between trips and that is my worst place to be. Resting and unpacking from last weekend blurs right into prepping and re-packing for next weekend.
I mentioned last week that I have been using a new Bible Curriculum and really like it. Several of you asked more about it. It’s called, Discovering Our Amazing God and we have really enjoyed it.
