A Second Honeymoon
Last week was a BIG week for me! James and I, for the first time since having kids over 25 years ago, went away for the week. Just the 2 of us. It was a second honeymoon and where did we go?

Over the past month my diet plan has slowly slipped and for the past couple of weeks I have felt myself spiral out of control. I went a year and a half doing great then I had a life crisis and felt myself falling down a rabbit hole so deep that I couldn’t find my way out.
I can’t stop myself from sharing my favorite holiday tunes with you. I listen to these when I am working out these days. It’s not always about the song itself but the artist’s rendition of it that makes it fun and peppy for working out.
It’s right about now that I start to lose momentum in my diet challenge. If I let myself stay hungry and don’t take good care of my body then by day 4 all I can think about is driving myself to the nearest Mexican restaurant and diving into a basket of warm tortilla chips
Well, I wasn’t planning on posting about the diet challenge more than once, but then I prayed. And you know what happens when you pray….God gives you a new plan. As I prayed for you, I felt like I was supposed to keep sharing this so y’all won’t lose ground.
I am going to challenge myself to stay totally on my diet plan for the next TEN DAYS. No crazy, forever thing. No telling myself I can’t do it or it doesn’t matter.
If you’ve been following me for any length of time then you know that I started exercising about a year and a half ago. I go for a run every morning and have learned how easy it really is.
Since sharing about our daughter leaving home I have been overwhelmed with phone calls, emails and messages of love and support. Thank you. Believe it or not, I did not expect that response at all.
In my quest to continually keep myself motivated to run/walk every morning….I try to add fresh new songs to my playlist. Otherwise I get bored and my mind starts to wander and that leads to thoughts of sitting down and feasting on chocolate.
I am torn between raving about the much needed rain we got this past weekend or telling you all about the conference we attended. I think I’ll give you an overview of both!
