I was unpacking my things from the Dallas trip when I noticed a big box under my things…..
It was from Leslie….my blog friend!
My friend Pennie gave me the cutest thing for my birthday….these flower pots. She tells a tale of plowing a woman to the floor to get them. That makes them even more special.
On my birthday, the kids put their money together to get me something so wonderful I just can’t even express how excited I am. It’s a “recharge station” from Pottery Barn.
Once the wedding was over there was more excitement. The very next day, Sunday, was Hope’s 17th birthday. Instead of a gift, she wanted to go shopping. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

That the tiny baby I gave birth to in my youth is turning 20 today?
I’ve got to take a short break from the construction project. Working that hard for too long will kill me. Or at least maim me. We have a couple of birthdays this week plus I have to do a few pointless things to do like cooking. And laundry. And school. So the construction will re-start…
Our first born son, the one who will inherit our riches, the one who will take care of me when I’m old, the one who can’t remember to take out the trash….. is eighteen today. Eighteen! How did this happen? Time sure does fly. It has been such a joy to watch him grow into…
