My Bedroom is My Oasis
I just love my bedroom. It’s my place to getaway and relax at the end of a long, hard day. Or an easy day….either works.

OK, this was one exhausting weekend. It involved 6 rooms, taking apart beds, piles and piles and piles of junk, trash bags, people being sick and weekend company.
I have had a few email exchanges with the woman that runs the conference and I am telling you…she has lifted my spirits already. Her kindness and prayerful heart shine through and I can’t wait to get there and see how it spreads.
I have to say, as much as I love the holidays I love this part of the year too! No more events or fancy decorations and parties. Those are fun, but I’m a homegirl.
Then you’re gonna love this….I get to give away a ticket to the conference! If you’re within a day’s drive and you need some encouragement to get you through the rest of the year, I hope you’ll enter.
I’ve been taking a little break from everything but home/family. The shop has been closed, I’ve been barely blogging and we’ve played a LOT of games.
I’ve been quiet in here lately. I have been spending time with my children and husband and breathing. Or trying to. It’s not been as easy as I had expected.
I still have so much to do to be ready for Christmas I have decided the best plan is to avoid thinking about it. If I start to think about it I get overwhelmed and wonder if it wouldn’t be better to just wait until next Christmas to celebrate….I need another year to get everything done!
It’s been such a whirlwind of activity around here lately that I can barely keep up. In between shop orders and Christmas decorating we’ve had various little colds and stomach bugs.
The weekend was pretty normal. It’s nice to have a normal weekend every once in a while.
Except that we were sick. We have some kind of cold that has us all dragging around wishing for soup.
