Welcome to our new blog home. Isn’t it gorgeous?! I am so excited to show you around!
First I want to give a big round of applause to Karen and Lisa over at Simply Amusing Designs.
Now, let’s take a look around, shall we?
While I was building the Boy’s room, I threw together a screen for the school room.
The idea had been rolling around in my head for a couple of months. I’m not sure what sparked it. I just know I am trying to find that balance in the school room. I want to display the kids’ creations. But I also want it to look tidy and match the rest of the house.
Time sure flies when you’re having fun. I’ve heard that. But I haven’t been having fun. I’ve been fighting with my computer. It’s overheating and not following my instructions. My Etsy Shop has been busy too, which is so fabulous, but it takes time away from blogging. Hang in there with me. We’re working on…
It was two weeks ago today that we started the new room. But we only worked on the room 7 of those days. The rest of the time we lived normal lives. OK, normal may be a stretch. Before I show you the results, here’s a reminder of what the front porch looked like 2…
If you’re here to see what’s happening with the new room….come back tomorrow for the big reveal! In the meantime….. Occasionally there’s a movie out that my kids want to see. If you know me you’ll know that we never…NEVER…let our kids see a movie we haven’t previewed. I know this takes time and often…
So many of you have been concerned about the pressure I am putting on myself to get the room finished.
I appreciate your concern.
I am going to give myself a break.
I listen to my advisors.
Details, details, details! I’m ready to be finished with the details!
The new room seems soooooo cloooose to being finished.
I didn’t work on it yesterday. I needed a break.
Today when I woke up I just KNEW that with a little elbow grease and some bribery for my 18 year old son I could get it finished.
But NOOOOO. There are so many teeny-tiny, miniscule, seems-like-they-don’t-matter-but-they-do type of things that I didn’t make it. I am STILL not finished.
Before you start to throw tomatoes at me and boo and hiss and declare me a failure, never to read my blog again….let me remind you:
I’ve been so busy on the new room that I haven’t told you all about our exciting adventures on the Amazing Race.
To keep us caught up, here’s a photo recap…..
I sat on the living room floor putting the new bed frame together.
“I’ll help you Mommy!” says a little voice.
Eight years old and eager to use the tools.
