How to Use All Those Empty Essential Oil Bottles (& Some Recipes)
I can’t stand waste. I keep stuff I don’t need because I think it might be useful sometime, which has led to a workshop full of wood scraps and broken furniture, and a drawer full of empty essential oil bottles.
The good news is that I do generally use these things at some point. I’ve re-imagined a bunch of furniture (like my pipe coffee table) and I recently used all of the bottles….ALL of them, to make blends to share with friends. I had been using roller bottles that I purchased, but then I thought, “Duh! Use some of these empty bottles you already have, you big dummy!”
I washed them all out and sprayed them with Thieves spray and then filled them with oils to share or blends for the kids and it has been so great! It’s exciting to share my oils!
AND, because I am having a love affair with my Cricut, I made the cutest little labels you ever did see. I still like my regular old label maker for a quick label, but sometimes I am in the mood for cuteness. Especially if it’s a gift I want to add a little something extra.
I made a video showing how I made the labels and how I clean the bottles. Super easy and fun!
Here are a few fun recipes we use in our house. These would be great for sending to friends or making for your own use. I’m sure you will think of a dozen ways to use these cutie bottles of your own blends.
You could make a bottle for your kids to have their own.
