Everybody Can Help Somebody

Reading to my kids is one of my favorite pastimes.  I don’t care if it’s a novel that we read over a couple of weeks or a children’s book that we can read in a few minutes, we all look forward to reading time.

But when the book really teaches a special lesson I enjoy it even more!  This precious book, “Everybody Can Help Somebody” by Ron Hall and Denver Moore has a beautiful message of how much of an impact anyone can make on someone’s life.  It touches on subjects like homelessness, caring for others and God’s direction.  I got so into the story when I first read it that I forgot I was reading it to a 6 year old and I got all teary and weepy over how much impact we can have on one another’s lives.

He had so many questions…..we had a great talk afterward which spilled over into the whole family’s dinner conversation.

You don’t want to miss this book.  It’s unique and thought provoking, but still sweet enough so it won’t upset your children. It would be a great gift for another family.
