Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving from our house to yours!
Happy Thanksgiving from our house to yours!
The theme of my weekend was animals. Well, it starts with animals and ends with animals, with a middle of various other activity.
I made a trip to the big city yesterday to pick up everything I needed for Thanksgiving. We will have 28 people here for dinner and I need some time to prepare. I had the kids count chairs, plates, drinking glasses, fork……how do we lose forks?! I had the boys lay the seats down in…
Right about now I start thinking about our family holiday photo. The kids grow so quickly, life pushes past and there you are again one year since you rounded up the whole gang to take a picture.
This is it. We’ve covered little girls, big girls, little boys and big boys. Now we’re left with Mom and Dad. They need a nice stocking too!
Day four of my free stocking stuffer series….the day I have been dreading all week. Older boys. Young men. The hardest group to buy for second only to very old men who need nothing, want nothing, hear nothing.
I love my little boys and their supehero, Lego, lizard fascinations. They love adventure and building and exploring their world. It’s so much fun to think about them while I’m putting their stocking together
The worst thing I make….the absolute worst….is gravy. I just can’t do it. It always turns out lumpy and flavorless and most of the time it has a slight burned taste. I tried lots of tips and tricks but I just couldn’t master it.
My weekend kind of continued on through Monday and it seems to be just sliding on into the rest of the week. Maybe it’s because we have so much fun around here. Maybe it’s because I don’t stop long enough to notice the weekend is over. On Friday afternoon I kidnapped my hard working husband…
Since I have to fill 10 stockings on a tight budget, I try to come up with some cheap or free items to fill them to the top. My kids don’t mind free gifts….they are grateful for anything. I just love that about them!
