The Sky has Finally Opened Up
Oh sweet heavens we had rain all weekend! Rain, rain, rain, rain and more rain. We needed it so badly that I cried a little when I first heard the drops on our metal roof on Saturday morning. I’m not kidding. I have slight dramatic tendencies.
I was planning to do some work outside this weekend, but the rain forced me inside. After I played with the kids for a while I filled shop orders and even had a few minutes to create some new pillows. I think they’re so cute…they might be my new favorite!
I was so wrapped up in my work that I missed my naps. Both Saturday and Sunday I sat in my recliner at around 3:30 to check email and I fell asleep sitting up. I’d hear myself snort and my head would fall over and I’d wake up wondering what happened. When I groggily wandered out to the living room the boys would say, “Mommy! You were asleep in your chair!”
I don’t need to wonder what happened. Trust the kids to announce it.
Oh! I wanted to tell you that I was guest speaking on a webinar last week with my friend Mary James from Smoothing the Way. Mary shared tips on time management and then about 45 minutes in I share how I manage my time as a homeschool mom. Mary was really encouraging and best of all…you can hear the recording for free! Just click HERE and it will take you to the webinar site. You do have to give your name and email, but Mary promised me she doesn’t use that for anything. It won’t cause you to get emails from sick friends that are stranded in Russia and desperately need money.
Don’t you wonder when you get one of those….does anyone actually fall for that?!
Have a wonderful week! I’m hoping for more rain.
Ah I love rain. Growing up in the desert does that to a person.
