Three More Days Until Blog Chat!!

Wooo mamma have I been busy!  Between Blog Chat coming up this weekend and James being really swamped with work and school, the kids with their own stuff going on…it’s like a crazy train around here.

This morning the three little boys went to spend a few days with Grandma and Grandpa so I could focus on the conference.  I’ve never sent them off without me before, so I’m a sad.  I know they’ll have a great time, but this mommy likes her kids around.  We do everything together.  It’s weird to be in the house without them here messing up rooms, breaking things and asking me if they can tell me what they want for Christmas while I’m trying to work.

My mom, however, is in for a laundry shock.  It’s usually just her and Dad and I doubt he makes three loads a day. Be ready Mom…you may want to have a pep talk with the washing machine.

This morning we’re cleaning up the front eating area and making food and spending time together.  Did I mention that we like being together?  I did?  OK then.

Last night we played family games.  Everyone got to have a soft drink (a rare treat around here) and we had a good old time.

Tomorrow morning I am picking up Gina at the airport and then it will become a whirlwind of last minute activity.  Then on Sunday, Gina doesn’t know it yet, but I plan for the 2 of us to stay in the recliners all day.  Maybe watch a little TV and turn into vegetables for a few hours.  I apologize to Gina in advance if I start snoring.

  1. Oh…Blog Chat looks like something I’d LOVE to go to! It’s just a wee bit far for me to travel. Hmmm…I wonder how many days it would take me to get from Canada to Texas.;)

  3. RitaJoy could pick me up on her way to Texas – I’m sure we’d get along fine since I’m a transplanted Canadian! Eh? I hope you have a great time and that you just enjoy the fruit of your labor and are able to share your expertise with your special guests!
