Is it April Already?!
Sometimes when I get really busy I have so much to say that I can’t figure out what to blog about. Grace’s birthday, Round Top, April Fool’s Day…. so much going on around here.
Today I woke up to this:
He walked around the corner like that and I almost jumped out of my skin. Freak!
Live long and prosper.
The girls made Grace some cupcakes for her birthday:
Perfect for my Gracie who loves knitting and crochet.
And Round Top was amazing. We need to make a bloggers’ trip there next year. I was inspired and found some great stuff to redo for my shop.
I need a crown. But not for decorating, just for my general use. I am a bit of a princess.
It’s been a full week. Tomorrow we have another birthday. My littlest girl turns 14. FOURTEEN! It’s just wrong on so many levels.
I hope you all are having as nice a spring as we are!
Your son makes a very good Spock!
Happy birthday to your girls!
They grow up so fast – even when you threaten them not too!
Oh, my goodness! The son- sooo good! What duplication! Wow!
The cupcakes, however, are my fav! Even more than Round Top! Gotta share that idea with my two knitters!
Hi lisa, Your son is adorable. (Am I suppose to say that at his age? ) What a cute idea with the cupcakes. If you bring me one of them we will sneak in Marcy’s house and look around. You wear the crown well.
xo,
Sherry
Too funny for words! Good thing you took a picture of Spock. 🙂
You are so beautiful! I think you should wear the crown all the time!
I have a friend who refused to wear a corsage when I gave her daughter’s bridal shower. So I bought tiaras and made them wear those. Seemed only right. And they really enjoyed them.
You know, you could have different royal headgear for your different moods, and then your family would know just by glancing whether you were wearing the grumpy crown or the bubbly crown or the “wait on me, I’m royalty” crown. I’m thinking this might save a lot of hassle around here, too. Each of males wouldn’t have to guess what mood each of the females were in. I think I’ve talked myself into it. Or not.
That is just too funny- we totally forgot April Fool’s day here- in holiday mode, but VCH was about to play a joke on me this morning when he looked at the calendar and realised that it was actually April 2- so the joke would have been on him, mind you every day is April Fool’s Day around here as he tries to trick us constantly!
Love the crown- it suits you!
I love the Spock outfit!
Oh my word, I am having flashbacks to my chidhood and my dad making me watch Star Trek for (what felt like) hours on end.
But now I am over that because of the cake!! Those were amazing! How talented.
LOVE those cupcakes – amazing! Lisa, you have the most beautiful eyes. The crown is becoming too. 🙂
holy moly!
look at the fern leaves for part of the placesetting. can’t stand it. i’m guessing you are on a “vision overload.” love the crowns too. and on you. 😉
as for your son, omg! a perfect spock!
The resemblance is strong…
Time flies…
Oh, those cupcakes… They totally make me want to learn how to crochet, knit, or learn how to decorate cakes. Hmmm, maybe all three.
I just want to say what a beautiful woman you are, Lisa. I know this a repeat from some other comments, but I have to say it. I think that the crown looks stunning because it’s on you.
As for Round Top…oh yeah, baby! That place looks simply magical. Makes me want to come to Texas even more.
Ha! Your son’s Spock is fabulous! And the cupcakes – Wow! Can I ask – what are the needles? They are (to use a real American word) *awesome*!
He definitely has a vulcan like stoicism. Tell him “Peace and Long Life”. My daughter Fiona was born with one vulcan like ear. She grew out of it but I feel her Trekkie family kind of wish she had kept it. Although I told her that she is too openly happy to be a vulcan or romulan. Neither smile very much.
The cupcakes are beautiful I do not think I could have made cupcakes look so much like yarn.
Yes you need a crown
Wow never a dull moment at your house! I love the picture with the crown on. Made me smile. 🙂
HA HA HA….wtg Jacob!!!! LOVE the cupcakes….the girls’ made those???? WOW I need to get them to do a “science” cake for Hellie at the end of this month LOL 🙂
Hugs,
🙂 Heather S.
Wow… if I were younger… or your son were older…. (I <3 Leonard Nemoy!) 😉
I love the cupcakes, not sure what to make of your son…………….
Hope you are have a great weekend princess Lisa
Cha Cha
Well, hmmm. Jacob is unique. And I would have peed in my pants had I turned the corner to see that.
Patience is such a gorgeous young lady. No doubt her heart is abundantly more beautiful.
Fun!
Those cupcakes are adorable…made me hungry looking at them, now I have to go forage for some sugar. Thank you Lisa 🙂
I wanna hear all about Round Top…in fact, every detail so break it up into several posts so I can live vicariously through your adventures.
I just love catching these glimpses in to your life! Tell the girls those cupcakes look fantastic! I am so down for the Round Top bloggers trip next year, count me there
Haha!! Love the pic of your son! And those cupcakes are fabulous! You must get your girls to do a tut on how they pulled that off. I would love to see it!
And – I agree – you are a Queen and definitely need a crown~! [Love that shot!] 😀
