Living History Farm

This is the kind of weather that makes me want to spend a day outside with the kids.

A few of us went to a Living History Farm.  It’s perfect….pure, educational and free.

I want to live here (but of course, I’d have to add electricity, running water and satellite TV).

A covered wagon.  Let’s add a car to the list of things I’d add if I lived here.  But otherwise, I’d keep it exactly the same.

I’m so crazy about the rusty old building in the background that I almost cropped the girls right out of the picture.

Hope looks so cute in her western hat.

At home we call Hope the Chicken Whisperer.

I’m pretty sure the boys were standing here wondering why this coop is so much cleaner than ours.

Playing with my Photoshop actions.

The perfect sittin’ spot.

My little photographer.

I was so drawn to the rust and wood and metal….I took more pictures of that stuff than of my kids.

SWOON.

We met my sister and some of her family for lunch.  Look over here kids and say, “Hi Grandma!”

If you ever come for a visit, I am taking you to the Living History Farm.  It was wonderful!

  1. I love the look of that place! Like you, I’d add my showers, electric plugs and my ve-hic-le, but – apart from all that…… love it.
(And I’ll bear the ‘I’ll take you there if you ever come visit’ in mind!) 😉

Are you sure you aren’t my mom? I mean a younger version of course 😉

  3. I LOVE going to living history farms. They have a good one in the Black Forest of Germany and course Stasbourg. I would so go with you and we would take yummy photos til our hearts sighed with happiness.

  4. Yay!!! Thank you so much for posting this, I can’t wait to take the kids here. We have an olive ranch near our house that does tours. I’ve been meaning to set one up – if you or any of your homeschool group would be interested just let me know and I’ll set up a date & time.
