Happy Pots
What a weekend! We cleaned and organized and put out the spring decorations….my favorite way to spend a weekend.
My friend Pennie gave me the cutest thing for my birthday….these flower pots. She tells a tale of plowing a woman to the floor to get them. That makes them even more special. Knowing that someone was injured just so I could have them meant the world to me.
With our recent no-spending pledge, I searched high and low for a way to display them. They needed to hang from the wall. My large supply of needless items, sadly, yielded no results. I was going to have to spend real money. I went to Walmart and found some black brackets for $3 each. I felt OK about spending $6, but they would need painting.
I already had a spray paint that was almost the same color as the pots. SCORE!
Now they hang in a little spot in my living room, filled with some Pottery Bard eggs my boys gave me for my birthday.
The little birds, which are my favorite thing about the pots, wouldn’t fit in the hook, so I tied them with twine.
It makes me happy.

Dear Egg-straordinary,
{thump} that was me swooning!
I love these, so glad the birds didn’t fit as they would have been hidden by the hook-y things and the twine is such a darling addition… You were a lucky girl… I deff. would have knocked someone over to get those…
Women… that pretty much sums it up, wouldn’t you say?
Love,

This was such a sweet gift to you, and you made it cuter by using the twine to hang the pots with.
LOVE them!!!! WTG Pennie….score 🙂
Hugs,
🙂 Heather S.
I absolutely adore those pots…the birds are the cat’s meow (well not literally). And what a great way to showcase your eggs…..again flawless, and I love that you left the patina 🙂
Gorgeous buckets and they look lovely hung with the twine!
wow, how pretty it have become. thanks for reminding about the wall brackets:)
I would have been tempted to knock someone out of the way too. Wouldn’t have, but would have wanted to 🙂 Those are adorable!
Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. I think when God was handing THAT gift out, you were in the front of the line and I was somewhere waaaaay in the back.
Thanks for inspiring me.
Becky
You all really make me laugh! I am so glad you all like the twine…happy accident.
Becky, I think standing in the front of the creativity line made me late for the skinny, energetic and good cook lines. Oh well, we can’t have it all. LOL! Lisa~
Oh wow. The pots are even cuter now. I think I will wrestle you to the ground to get them back. 🙂
They turned out so cute!
Love, love the pots….so cute…
how cute is that! i love those hanging in your home-and all without spending anything extra!
So cute! You think of the most unique ways to decorate! I love that! 🙂
LOVE!
Love. These. A lot.
How can I tell my friends that I would like some of these for my birthday in a couple of weeks. Hmmmm… Must ponder this.
Thanks, as always, for the inspiration. Gosh, I wish I could be more like you. Do you think if I shook your hand, some of your creativity would pass on to me? I would be willing to come to Texas.
Beautiful! I absolutely love it.

These are so fun for Spring! Love your ideas!
Your hanging bird pots look wonderful and your thrifty, creative way to hang and display them is inspiring. Your entire vignette leaves me hoping for springs early arrival but I fear we have at least one more snow to go in NJ.

Let me know when Pennie shows up to wrestle you.
I’d like to see that show and then also trip her on the way to her car and bring those pots to my house.
Charming score all around.
I love this! I think they turned out fantastic and they look great hanging wherey ou put them.

I know I’ve said this before, but please would you come decorate my house? I know you have plenty of time on your hands…*snicker* No really, beautiful job! God has truly blessed you with talent. (And for what it is worth, I missed the skinny line too 😉 )
I don’t have anything to add that hasn’t already been said, but had to ‘touch base’ to show my bowled-over-appreciation!
Wow….

They are so pretty and what a sweet gift. The twine just makes them for me. How sweet that every time you see them you will think of your friend, very cool.
