Warning: Extreme Cuteness Ahead

Before you look at these pictures, you need to prepare yourself.  In fact, if you have some sunglasses lying nearby you might want to put them on.  You will need something to protect your eyes.

A friend of mine was planning to buy a card table playhouse for her daughter for Christmas.  Sadly, the etsy shop owner that makes them wasn’t taking any more orders before Christmas.  She asked me if I would consider making one for her, but I don’t take extra sewing jobs.  I was about to say no when I decided to just go look at the pictures.  I mean, it would have been rude to tell her no without at least looking, right?  Mistake.

Once I saw the playhouse, I was so in love with it that I lost the power to turn my friend down.  I accepted the job and have been working on it ever since.

It’s like Medusa…don’t look directly at it or you will have to make one for yourself, or ask me to make you one, for which I will charge you your life savings.

OK, are you ready?  Here goes…..

The address is monogrammed above the door.  How sweet is that?!

See the mailbox?  I made four letters to go in it.

The little bunny has me completely charmed.

The squirrel makes me happy.

Water the flowers with the watering can….

The removable flowers in the window box each have a different shape for the center….circle, triangle, rhombus, hexagon, etc.  I’m telling you, the cuteness never ends.

Or pet the puppy.

Pick the apples and oranges and put them in the basket.

I also did two of the inside walls.  There’s a nice, warm fire.

The logs and flames are removable.

Hang a real picture in the frame.  Pick the flowers and put them in the vase.

It is so adorable that my big girls want one.  Sadly, they are too old now.

But Levi is just the right size.  I am now working on a boy version for him.

I can’t wait to show it to you, but I will give you time to recover from the adorableness of this one before I blast you with his little gardening cabin.

I am in love!

  1. That is so amazing….wowie! I may need to see about making something like this for my granddaughter! I do have a wee bit of time though, as she is only 6 months old!

  2. Wow, I know a certain little girl who would just love this, but my sewing talents aren’t up to this. I don’t know how you find the time Lisa so close to Christmas too!

  3. WHOA! Those are some mad skills! I saw one of these earlier today and couldn’t find it again for the life of me, then I stumbled across yours! It’s a sign…I’m supposed to get off my duff and make one for my three sweet girls. Say aloha to my sleep for the next four days (the good-bye kind of aloha)…

    🙂

  4. Lisa, This is soooo adorable! You are one talented lady….I can’t believe all the details you added. I can’t sew a stitch and when my grandkids visit they have to be happy with throwing a sheet over two chairs!! This is fabulous!!
    Hugs,
    Sherry

  5. Love it. Bless your heart, if you charged me my life savings for doing it, it would barely cover the cost of materials. THese look great.

  6. WOW!! The cuteness certainly is amazing – so is your skill with a sewing machine! You should charge someone their life savings – or at least an arm and a leg! That Lwevi is one lucky little guy!

  7. Well you have certainly confirmed my theory that becoming your friend was a really goo move. I can’t believe you made all this cuteness for someone else, you are such a sweetie. Thanks for putting all these ideas in my head, I can’t wait for the boys version.

  8. Dear Your’e killing me,

I have never seen these before! What a creative chic you are. I can’t wait for my girl (Prairie Hen) to see this. I can only imagine my granddaughter (Bee) loving this….and then T-boy and Pip would need their own….a garage, or a hunting lodge or cabin???? Ideas would be endless.

  9. Ok this is so cute that I would be tempted to steal a baby girl just so she ahem we could play in it together.

Does anyone have a girl they need taken off their hands? 🙂

You may have a new business.

    Be merry and bright!

  10. I’m so impressed! I saw these a while ago and thought about making up a pattern to make one for my granddaughters, but then I decided it was beyond my capabilities. You’ve done a beautiful job, really adorable! Your friend is a lucky girl!

  11. OH. EM. GEE!
That has got to be one of the CUTEST things I have seen in A LONG TIME!
    Maybe ever.
    Seriously.
I am speechless (not really, sort of.)
How long did that take you?
Do you sleep or eat or bathe or breathe?
    Wow, woman!
Are you teaching your children how to help sew and create, too?
If so, you have your own little Lisa’s Workshop!
I am askeered to tell you, since I see you have been busy, what monogram thingy I’d like for the Ikea slipcovers that I have…
I was wondering if you could do a King’s crown, and a Queen’s crown?
    In black?
I think I need to order now before you get swamped with orders for more card table houses.
No rush. You do what you hafta do.
    Because you are amazing!
    HUGS,
    ~me
P.S. I am moving to TX.
