These perfect weather days do not lend themselves to keeping a schedule.

We keep wandering outside for “just a minute” only to find that we’ve stayed for hours.  I find a spot in the breeze to read and lose track of time.

I finished my book, “The Help.”  While I liked it, I hesitate to recommend it because it is decidedly NOT Christian.  It has content that is unsuitable for young people.  It is about living in Mississippi during the rise of the Civil Rights movement.  Having recently read a few Jane Austin novels, I was focusing on the separation of classes.  Not just white vs. black, but poor vs. rich, attractive vs. ugly, etc.  I find myself looking around in my life…..where are those lines drawn?

Speaking of looking around….I looked around after nap time and saw my three year old playing with something odd.  What is that?  Oops!  “No Levi, let’s not play with that.  Those are just for Mommy.”  Lady products that he pulled out of my purse.  Note to self, change to a purse with a zipper closure.

After just seeing Martha Stewart on today’s Oprah, I have decided that I need her new circle cutter.  OK, maybe “need” is too strong a word.  But I really want it.  So I downloaded a coupon for half off.  You can get this coupon for the next 24 hours and use it before Oct 16.  I know myself; I won’t buy it.  I’ll just walk around with the coupon until it expires and think about the circle cutter.  But I won’t spend the money.  It’s the way my brain works.  But if you happen to run into my husband you might mention that it would make a great stocking stuffer.  That and a hairband from Anthropologie that costs $38.

Obviously I have nothing to say.  I think the cool air has seeped into my mind and hypnotized me.

A new purse would snap me right out of it, I am sure!

  3. If that purse doesn’t fit in your stocking, you could always get a bigger stocking! Better than having your 3 yo pull that kind of thing out of your current purse while you are walking the aisles at Michael’s! 😉

  5. I never watch Oprah anymore, but I saw that Martha was going to be on there and decided to watch. I am in love with that circle cutter. I am the same way though…I doubt I will spend the money, though with a coupon…..
