Before & After Winner!

We are this week’s winner in the Before & After contest.  I’m so excited!

After a hard week with my dad, this was such a boost.  Thank you to the One Project Closer crew for choosing Noah’s room.

You can see our entry here, but I’ve got to show you the highlights….

We enclosed part of the front porch to make a room for Noah to sleep and keep his Legos.  Those two things are pretty much his top priorities.

The front porch before:

and after:

The before pictures of the inside are the same….because it used to be the front porch.  Does that sentence makes sense?  I can’t seem to figure out how to word it.

Oh well, I’ll just show you the finished room inside:

If you want to read the whole series on how we built this room in 8 days, go here.

And be prepared for me to shamelessly promote myself at the end of the summer when they put all of the weekly winners up for votes.  I will need for you to set aside a day or two to vote for me over and over and over.

For progress on my dad go to Dad’s Caring Bridge site.

  1. Congratulations! This post/reveal was before I found your blog, so I hadn’t seen it. What a perfect, fun room for an 11 year old. I know mine would love it.
    .-= Angela´s last blog ..Eventually =-.

  2. My favorite part is “and then I’d take a day off to home school”… yes, that’s totally how projects happen in our house, too! Only it’s more like “and then I’d get interrupted every 3 minutes because the boys “need” to show me something… we just finished kindergarten. I can’t WAIT till I can send them off to do schoolwork on their own! (OR have them install flooring, for that matter!)

  3. That looks fantastic! I love all organization buckets and boxes behind the bed.
Were those front porch lights repurposed milk vases? They kind of looked like they might have that shape to them?

  4. Thanks you all for the sweet comments. Megan, those do look like milk bottles. I got them years ago at IKEA. They hold tea candles. I wish I’d gotten more of them! Lisa~

  5. You know I love this!! I’m off to read the original post as I’ve done before….but I think I have to do it again! Thanks so much for linking up!! -shaunna 🙂
