Resting Days and Birthdays
I’ve got to take a short break from the construction project. Working that hard for too long will kill me. Or at least maim me.
We have a couple of birthdays this week plus I have to do a few pointless things to do like cooking. And laundry. And school.
So the construction will re-start on Friday after all of the partying. We are partiers around here. Oh yeah man…..it’s a laugh a minute.
For birthdays we like to start the celebration off right with what we call, “Birthday Breakfast.” The birthday person gets to choose anything (I mean anything as long as it’s commonly considered a breakfast food) they want. Let’s just say, there are a lot of carbs involved.
On Thursday I have a boy turning 7. He wants, “A cereal I’ve never heard of, powdered sugar donuts (like the Little Debbie kind), bacon (everyone chooses bacon, it’s nature’s perfect food) and scrambled eggs.”
And that’s just what he’ll get.
Then they get to do pretty much what they want all day and the other kids came up with the idea that they will do the chores for the birthday person. How sweet.
It blessed me that my kids love each other so much. They are always so happy when one of their siblings is blessed. It does a mamma’s heart good.
It’s a few days off and then back to work.
Have a good few days. And have a powdered sugar donut on me!
Personally I think you should have Count Chocula!! Happy, happy Birthday!
Tell the 7 year old I send Birthday love…..no money, just love, lol,
Happy Birthday! And you've got that right about bacon! CR
