That’s My Motto

“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”

That’s my motto.

Ok, I told you I would be completely honest with you, so my motto would really be more like,

“If at first you don’t succeed, cry a lot, then beg your husband to let you go over budget, drag your aching back to the store for more paint, then beg your children to re-paint your bedroom, cry, cry again.”

We are about half a day behind schedule at this point. But I guess I shouldn’t complain since my unpaid workers are not revolting yet. Yet.

So it’s now after 3:00 and we are just starting what we should have started this morning. The room has a new coat of paint on it. But “Every cloud has a silver lining,” right? This color will no doubt be better than what I had planned in the first place. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

I’d better get back to work now. After all, “A rolling stone gathers no moss.”
