A Hitch
Here on my blog you’re going to get it all…the good, the bad and the ugly.
Today I’m sharing with you the ugly. The very ugly.
I, in my insane mind, decided to stay up late into the night and finish the wall treatment. I knew that it would be better done in the quiet of the night…when all the kiddies were asleep and the painting fairies could come and help me.
My idea was that when the family arose in the morning I could proclaim, “Voila! The walls are finished!” and they would “Oooh” and “Aaah” and be so blessed to have such a genius as me as their mother and wife.
Alas, I am not quite the blessing I think I am. No, my friends, the walls look horrible! I made a mess of the treatment I did and now it’s just a mess of weird stripes and lines.
But even worse than that is that I hurt my back. I was so tired that I fell off the step ladder and now my lower back is in excruciating pain. I slept in the recliner all night with ice on it, but I won’t be doing any bending or lifting today, that’s for darn sure.
So right now Number One Son is trying to fix it. He thinks he can make it better (the other choice is him repainting the whole room by himself, so I say let him try!).
We’ll keep you posted on what we do….
One little funny….last night as I in my chair that was facing the TV that looked like this…
Just staring. Not noticing what I was looking at but just glad for the minute to rest….
DUH came in and said, “Oh, you’re watching the news?”
Laughter always makes you feel better.
This will be reposted on my second blog.
