I love my friends and I love my oils, so the combo is just about as perfect a way as I can think to spend an afternoon.
That’s why I talk about the oils so much. They relax me, they uplift me, they strengthen me in whatever I am facing. Of course I love them for my physical health….that’s what started me using them. I mean seriously, I’d never go another winter without Thieves and RC. I stock up on that stuff like squirrels hide nuts. (but don’t tell everyone ‘cuz then they’d want mine when they run out)
If you’re still wondering about oils and why everybody’s talking about them on social media and what’s so great about them, here’s the penny version of that answer.
- They’re just plants. It’s that simple (as long as you’re buying Young Living since I can’t testify to what other companies put in theirs). God made plants for us to use for our good. He gave us remedies for our ails and mood lifters and helpers. Like we all know lavender relaxes you, but there are a lot of other plants that do things like that too!
- They’re in bottles to make it easy to use! I don’t know about you, but my black thumb and southern climate won’t let me grow frankincense and bergamot and spruce trees, and even if I could I wouldn’t be able to do all the work and still have time to watch “This Is Us.” (I mean, I need oils to recover from the emotional mess I am after watching that show!) So buying these little bottles makes it super easy and convenient. No brainer.
- You can’t mess it up. So many people get the kit and a few others oils and then text me, “Lisa! I don’t know what to do with the oils and I don’t want to mess it up!” You’re not gonna mess up! Just try what seems best. Start by putting some in your diffuser (I always say use 8 drop in any combination you like) and go from there. Rub a little on your wrist. If you don’t like the smell but want the benefit, rub it on the bottom of your feet. Believe it or not that’s actually a good place for the absorption! It’s super easy. Just try one or two at a time (if you can hold back, which I can’t so I just started using them all!)
That’s all there is to it. It’s not scary or weird or hippie. It’s so easy. But for that small learning curve I am here to help. I’ve studied herbs and health and I have been to the farms and classes and lots of things you will probably never want to do because you have other things to focus on.
