Kindle Fire Giveaway….JOY!

Here at The Point we are busy getting school done and doing some small projects around the house. The makeover on my boys’ bathroom a few weeks ago showed me how much I also need to paint their bedroom, so I’m doing that this week and we have a full load of schoolwork (be sure to check out my organized schoolroom).

With all of the traveling I am also doing I like to unwind with a good book and what better way to do that than with my Kindle?! It’s easy to carry, marks my place (much better than the piece of toilet paper bookmark I use in paper books) and I can even listen to audio books on it when I’m driving (or during my morning walks). Do you have a Kindle?

Well guess what?! You just might get to win one!!!

Let’s get this AMAZING give away started and celebrate with gifts for YOU!

    1. Sorry commented before seeing the question. I have 3 small kids (almost 7, 6.5 and 5.5) so this would be a great help especially at the doctors office.

  1. I have a grandson who loves reading ! So it would be a welcome new tool to enhance his love of reading.

  2. We would love to have another Kindle for the kids to use for schoolwork (reading and video). We’d also love to have a Fire for downtime media and game fun.

  3. I’d definitely use it for those times when carrying several books with you isn’t an option.

  4. Oh wow, I would love a kindle to use for taking ebooks for kids to church, the van, the dentist, the Dr., etc! Thanks for sponsoring this giveaway 🙂

  5. A Kindle Fire, hummm…. How would I use it? How wouldn’t I use it is the better question! I would have to hide it from my daughter who like me is a huge reader. Books are overtaking every room in the house. If I win this, my husband would be SO grateful!

  6. I would use it to keep up with my favorite authors and their new releases. Some times I miss something new because I get overwhelmed when I go into the big box stores with all the titles, covers and displays are just to much.

  7. My daughter 9 loves to read! I am so tired of the books getting torn apart by the time she finishes them(she totes them everywhere we go, even walking down isles at Walmart!) I have been contemplating getting her a kindle, but winning one would be all the more better! It would be a joy to see her face light up opening one for CHRISTmas! Thanks for the opportunity to enter!

  8. My husband uses his Kindle Fire for reading and he carries it with him everywhere. I have one too, but our 4 girls take turns borrowing it — constantly. They use it for going online and playing games. I love to carry it with me to appointments and when I’m waiting to pick up kids. I have tons of free books and games on it, including a Bible.

  9. I’m not sure I’d be the one to use it LOL – though I have downloaded a number of free books for homeschooling that I would love to be able to take with me to read! My darling girl has been wanting a Kindle because our library offers book downloads that she’d enjoy!

  10. I would use it as 1 of our trio’s birthday present. Then we would only have to get 2 more 🙂 We want to get them on ABC Mouse 🙂 Thanks for the oppurtunity

  11. I would love a Kindle fire because I am such a reader and my daughter has been wanting one of her own!! We would also use it for school.

  12. I would give it to my dear husband as a gift because he LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to read and it would be so much easier for him to slip this into his briefcase going to work than several books 🙂

  13. I would use the Kindle to read, I am an avid reader!!! I am also a Pinner ~ 🙂 Since I have a small kitchen a Kindle would be so nice to use there to help me cook my many pinned recipes!!!

  14. Having a kindle to use at home and in the classroom to access educational apps would be lovely. Also, carrying hundreds of books at a time, who wouldn’t love that??

  15. I would love to win this. My children 10 and 17 would use it for school and general reading. Hubby and I would use it for Bible Study and it would be great for checking books out at the library. BTW I love your post on modest dressing and I think some of the thing I have been trying to tell my 17 year old daughter have stated to sink in since viewing the post. Sometimes it just helps coming from an outside source.

  16. My 13 y.o. son got a Kindle 3 yrs ago as a reward for achieving a goal I set for him in his school work. I have been surprised at what good care he took of his Kindle. Never dropped it or lost it and used it daily for reading, dictionary, Bible and games. Well one day after being charged it wouldn’t turn on and nothing we did would make it come on…it is dead. :o( So if I won the Kindle I would give it to my son!

  17. I’ve been wanting a Kindle recently after trying out my husband’s tablet. I LOVE to read so it would be handy to have when traveling or going to appts, etc. And it would be great for my kids to use as well (when I’m willing to share with them)!

  18. I have so many e-books on our computer but I find it doesn’t really work for me to sit at the computer to read books – especially read alouds for the children. I would use a kindle to cuddle up on the couch to read. It would also be wonderful for Bible reading. =)

    Thank you for the giveaway!

  19. I would put this to good use by giving it to my daughter who graduates from college in May 2014 to use in her classroom in Fall 2014 with her students. They are great tools to help some students learn in alternative ways, and she would love to have one to start her career in teaching. Thanks!

  20. My husband (a minister), me and our 7 children, I’m quite sure ,would enjoy every emminity possible on a Kindle fire! He travels a lot. Of course I stay busy homeschooling and helping my Mom. It would come in very handy for book reports as we live 45 min. from our library!

  21. My daughter saved up to get a Kindle and she loves it! I am just a little jealous… of a 9yo. Haha! I would love to have a Kindle so that I could take advantage of free ebook offers. I read while nursing the baby, so I have been reading an awful lot lately. It would just be so handy! Thanks for the chance to win!

  22. I would use it for school (learning apps for the kids), for checking e-mail, for Pinterest browsing, and for reading books. I have a huge library of Kindle books that I read on my smart phone screen (which is much too small) and on our computer. Having them on a Kindle will make it easier to read, and we read many of these books for history in our homeschool.

Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  23. My teenage daughter and I love to read, and would use it for that as well as when traveling. We live in Alaska, and it is a three hour drive to the nearest city, so we would use it to read, check email, etc. on our trips~

  24. What a wonderful giveaway! If I were to get a
Kindle I would just be elated! I’m a new mommy to a 9 month old baby boy! I would definitely curl up in my bed with my little
Guy at night and read until our hearts content. I’ve loved books since I was a child and since we are military and move around a lot this would definitely cut down on the many boxes of books we always pack at moving time 😉 I would love to use it every Tuesday at the bible study I attend not to mention I love to cook so the kindle would definitely be a necessity in the kitchen! My husband is also an avid reader so I’m sure he would be happy as well!!Thank you for such a wonderful opportunity!! God bless!

  25. I would love a kindle fire! I spend a lot of time waiting for the kiddo to do her activities and it would be perfect to just sit and enjoy a good read! I would also use it for her in home school.

  26. I am a prime member and would love to be able to utilize more of my benefits and can’t do that without an actual kindle.

  27. I would use it to get a few minutes of peace and quiet…Bwa ha ha ha ha! No, I couldn’t keep a straight face even typing that. Peace and quiet, hee hee! What was I thinking?

  28. I love to read and homeschool my 10 children, so the opportunities for use are endless! Thanks for the chance to win! What a blessing!

  29. I would love to use the kindle fire for reading time with my son and to look up homeschool crafts and experiments

  30. I would love to own a kindle! I’m a church librarian, always lugging a huge pile of books around, this would really lighten my load! Plus it would be great to always be able to pull up the info on the right book for someone or be able to read to someone.

  31. I would replace my old kindle fire that runs around 6 hours a day and keeps shutting down on me half way through what I am reading. It’s limping along but only just.

  32. Books to read of course! Between me and eight children we could use more Kindles! We have 2 of the basic kindles, no Kindle Fire. We would also use the Fire to play music, audio books, movies and shows for my 1yo who has multiple medical appointments (6-15 a month). The hour drive each way to the hospital and wait time in offices really adds up for a 1 year old.

  33. I love reading blogs 😉 and watching prime episodes on my kindle. Keeps me from having to buy satellite! It’s giving out though, so I would love a new one!

  34. How would I use this Kindle? Let me count the ways….books, homeschooling, all things Amazon, and the list could go on!

  35. What would I use the Kindle Fire for? I think there are a few too many things to list… 🙂 OK, I’ll give a couple things. Bible study, homeschool, music, reading, reading, reading, and did I mention reading?

  36. I would use it for the apps and the movies and the books oh please pick me I am using the kindle for PC I would love to go to amazon and buy what ever book I want and not worry if I can’t put it on my PC.

  37. I would use it for our homeschool reading, watching videos and the apps for their studies this would be great thing for us.

  38. We all love to read here at my house and would use this a lot while traveling. What a great give away. Thanks for a chance to win.

  39. My son just turned 5 and hasn’t been exposed to much in the way of electronics. I think a Kindle might be a nice starting point for him.

  40. I would love to have a Kindle Fire to read books and use all kinds of different apps that would make my life more organized. Thanks for the chance to win!

  41. It would such a blessing to have one to read. I have been my family’s sole source of income for years….the budget is so tight…no room for any fun things like a Kindle. My husband is disabled but he is not on disability. We make it work with God’s provision and grace.

  42. I would use the Kindle to help our youngest child, Chloe who is 2 1/2, she has been diagnosed with Apraxia. It would help her with speech and brain stimulation.

  43. Well, I don’t see a question, other than do I own a Kindle, but I’m seeing from other’s comments it must have been what would I do with a Kindle Fire.
I would definitely read books, and use it for browsing when the kids or hubby was on the computer, and I’m not sure what else. It would be nice to have! I would love finding out all the neat things one can do on such a device. =)

  44. I would use a Kindle fire for snuggle time with my special needs daughter. We like to read together and find things to laugh out loud about! I would also use it for my own down time, which is very needed after a day with my daughter!

  45. Being partially blind, I find that Kindles are a dream! I can make the font as big as I need and I can carry as many books with me as I like 🙂 So that’s how I’d use my kindle, for reading lots of great books without having to use a magnifying glass 🙂

  46. A friend has recommended some older wholesome books on Kindle for my teenage daughter. Would love tomshare it with her.

  47. I already have a Kindle Paperwhite and love it so if I win I would give it to my Mother-In-Law who also loves to read and has been wanting one 🙂

  48. It would be great to have on my kitchen counter when I need a recipe for dinner that night!
Keeping up with all my favorite blogs anytime I want without having to “go” to the computer.
    Hope I’m a winner!!

  49. I would share it with my tween daughter who is an avid reader also! We’d probably be playing tug of war with it!! lol

  50. I travel a lot with my husband we are both missionaries. Having a Kindle Fire would allow us to always have a book to read with out carrying so many books. They would all be on this one sweet device. I have always wanted a Kindle Fire but we can’t afford it. This would be a real blessing

  51. We would use it in our homeschooling lessons for our three little boys! TY so much for this contest.

  52. I would love for my children to be able to read and keep as many books as the like! I was hoping to get one of these for my family for Christmas but they are so expensive! Thank you for the opportunity!

  53. My husband got me one for Christmas last year and I would love for him to have his own so he can enjoy his books and fun baseball apps whenever he wants. Not that sharing is bad, but it would be nice to be on them at the same time!

  54. I already have a more basic kindle, so I would probably give this one as a gift to a family member.

  55. New fan from the blog hop giveaway! 🙂 I would use the Kindle Fire with my homeschool kiddos. So many great resources available now to use with the Kindle! (Especially since I have a recent injury. It would save me lots of moving around! 😉 )
