2 Things You Need to wash Your Car

I’m getting ready to go to the Homeschool Moms’ Winter Summit this weekend in Oklahoma.  I always clean my car before I travel and when I went out I was struck by the magnitude of the dirt on my van.

So I grabbed 2 things: my AutoRight Easy Wash Stick and my 14 year old son.

And I put him to work.

Now my van is shiny clean and ready to travel.  And he loved using the Easy Wash Stick !  Afterward he said to me, “That was fun Mom!  I’ll wash your van anytime.” (plus I paid him $5)

AND hooray!  The awesome folks at AutoRight are letting me give one of you an Easy-Wash Stick!  I’m sorry I can’t give you a 14 year old boy to go with it.

  1. Not often enough probably! Winter is hard because everything freezes if you wash it and that’s a pain, but at least once a month spring, summer and fall! This would be a handy tool – thanks!

  2. Not too often. It needs a wash now. I would love to try this tool! It looks like it would be a great way to reach the top without a step stool.

  3. We wash cars about 1 time a month but if it was easier we would probably do it more often.

  4. Apparently I don’t wash it enough because it is dirty! But it will rain as soon as I wash it 🙂 This would be a handy tool!

  5. We rarely ever wash our van but this might excite the kiddos into it once it warms up.

  6. It just occurred to me that I don’t think *I* have washed my car but maybe one or two times since I’ve been married. We do occasionally take it to the detail shop to be washed on the inside and the outside. My husband takes care of washing it at home, and my little girl likes to help him.

I like the way you focused on the Easy Wash stick leaving your son slightly blurry. Photos like that are fun!

  7. How often do I wash our vehicles??? The Husband does it! And now I can no longer say “I never win anything” because in mid-December, while at a function with my husband, I was asked to pick a raffle ticket out of a bowl and PICKED MY OWN NUMBER!!! The guy holding the bowl was so blown away that he pulled out a wad of money from his pocket and also gave me $50 to go out to dinner before the show!

  8. I love a clean car. I definitely make sure it’s clean before going out of town. But I use a sponge and bucket. Not an easy task for short me with an SUV.

  9. We only wash it at home during the summer/fall, otherwise we run it throw the car wash about once a month during the winter when its a warmer day.

  10. In warmer weather, maybe every week or two. Now…it’s a mess! Husband wanted to wash off the road grime and salt, (after a road trip today), but it was frozen on – never got above freezing!
