I Craft; I Sleep

OK, I am not adjusting well to this recent time change.  I start falling asleep on my feet at 8:00 every night and can’t sleep past 5:00 in the morning.  Is this what getting old looks like?  Pretty soon my house will start to smell like mothballs.

I tell you this bit of trivia because it explains why, despite having a family party on Friday night and a date on Saturday night, I am the last person you would want to hang out with once the sun sets (which is now happening at 6:30PM).  Last Friday I was literally laying my head on the table as people read their crazy Balderdash answers.  “Wake me up when it’s time to vote,” I’d slur.  I’m a barrel of fun.  It’s like playing a game with a person in a coma.

I may have to start drinking coffee.

(there’s another bit of Lisa trivia….I don’t drink coffee….never have)

In my sleepy defense, we did suffer with a small cold over the weekend.  Several of us were fighting off sore throats and achiness.  It didn’t turn into anything terrible since I kept the essential oils going strong.  We used Thieves and Purification mostly.  We are better now.  Short lived.  But it did contribute to the general lack of energy around here.

On Sunday I perked up a little and filled Shop24 orders all afternoon.  It’s that time of year when the Christmas stocking orders start rolling in.  Have you seen our stockings?  I can’t wait to get our family’s stockings out this year.  They make me happy just seeing them hanging there!

And we have a new style this year.  It’s still burlap, but a little more modern.

I have several cute things coming up to show you.  I got a little crafty last week and as soon as I can get pictures taken, you will be the first to see.  I’m getting in the mood for Christmas.

I just hope I can stay awake long enough to enjoy it.

  1. I read your bit of trivia out loud, us older kids got a good laugh. 🙂
The stockings are super cute and well made! Burlap can be a bear to work with at times; unraveling and such.
Blessings and love from the Shag family!

  2. Oh, my kids are messed up by the time change. We fight it every year. It makes no difference. Except the teenager. He sleeps as much as possible.
I have never been a coffee drinker either. Someone did bring me a pumpkin spice latte once. Not sure if that counts. I used to drink instant cappuccino or hot chocolate, but I have given that up now.
The stockings look great! I am super busy with my ornaments right now. ‘Tis the season, right? 🙂
