Embracing Modesty, No. 46

Well I finally did it.  I got some new clothes.  I was determined not to spend much since I expect to lose more weight and I don’t want to use my limited resources on something short term.  But I do need to have a few things that don’t fall off when I walk around.

I went to Target and found this skirt that I love so much I want to marry it.  I have worn it almost every day and plan to wear it today while I am traveling.  Love I tell you, LOVE.  And it was only $20.  Get yourself to Target ASAP and get yourself one (they also had it in black).

This top is old.  Maybe more than 10 years.

I fonally got some new skirts!

And here is the same skirt with a different top.  Another oldie blast from the past.

a few new skirst

This last picture is a fully new outfit….even the shirt!  I got the top a couple of weeks ago at Old Navy and the skirt at Versona.  Neither of them was more than $20.  YES!

This skirt is very I’m-a-princes flowy.  It’s also too poufy, so I put a long tank on to keep it from making my hips look bigger.

Some sources for new skirts!

If you’ve been looking for skirts, there seems to be a good selection out there right now.  Keep your eyes open; you’ll find them!

  1. ‘But I do need to have a few things that don’t fall off when I walk around.’ Ha! Yes, my friend – that can be a problem! I just took in a few more things for myself for that very same reason. I’m so thankful for my sewing machine these days! You look lovely – all of your outfits are so cute and flattering. I’m happy you found some inexpensive new things to get you through for now – it’s such a boost to have new clothes!

  2. I love your new clothes! I’m copying your outfits. I live in Arkansas; so, I’m sure we won’t cross paths wearing the same outfit. Lol Thank you for sharing where to buy the clothes!

  3. Congratulations on new clothes. That new shirt is beautiful! I had a similar one few years ago but it got ripped – they don’t make stuff to last anymore. I think yours is gorgeous, really! 🙂
