  1. I just checked out the whole thing! Your article is awesome! I love to change the look of my living room seasonally, too!

    Fun ideas….

  2. So lovely! I’m no longer anxious about my son saving his trophies — I wouldn’t mind painting them for his room (maybe masking the plaques to save his name and the year). I love the overturned wire crate with the velvet cushion on top. Have you done a tutorial for that? I need to browse the issue in a more leisurely manner (too bad I can’t use my laptop in the bath), but I didn’t ever see a picture of the screen door on the stone wall you mentioned. Do you have that posted somewhere?

I need to have a t-shirt made: Lisa is my DIY decor hero!

  3. Suzanne, I’ll post a better picture of the screen. If you look back, it’s what the black and white picture of the 3 boys is hanging from. And I haven’t done a tutorial on the little foot stool. It’s just an old milk crate that I flipped over and made a cushion for. I’ll try to show some better pictures next week. Thanks for asking. (And you don’t need a hero shirt! I’m definitely not worth all that…LOL! Lisa~

  4. Hey Lisa – Wow, it’s amazing how much cooler trophies look when they are painted white! What a fun idea! The whole room looks great. Well done!

  6. I discovered Splendidly Homemade the other day on Shabby Creek Cottage and absolutely loved your Hampton’s Look article. Today I saw the awesome flag screens on Today’s Creative Blog and I had to come over take a look. Love your site! Following now and can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve next!

  7. Lisa,

    Blessings from the Lee family:)

P.S. I especially love your painted piano…the wheels are turning inside my head!
