Something to Do with 15 Minutes

by Lisa on March 30, 2012

My friend Angie is doing a week of quick crafts over at her blog.  I’m joining her today with my 15 minute craft.  This was hard for me.  I am not a quick crafter.  I tend to make things complicated.  It is my way.

So when Angie told me that this project couldn’t take more than 15 minutes I said, “Yo dawg. That’s really pitchy,” which was weird.  I may have been watching American Idol at the time.  I changed my focus and racked my brain to come up with something.

I decided to make this frame for holding several pictures.  Plain and simple.  I made it in 12 minutes and 37 seconds.  Take that Angie.  Pow.

Take an old flea market frame, paint it white and staple rabbit wire to the back.

I just wired the clips on with whatever wire I found first when I dug through the drawer.

Then I hung old pictures of the kids in the bluebonnets.  I mounted the pictures on book pages and rubbed the edges with a brown stamp pad.  Nothing to it.

I love it.

Go over and check out the other 15 minute crafts.  They are inspiring!  You can even link up your own 15 minute crafts!

Love. It.

And I love that it’s something that I actually could — and would — do. This baby is getting pinned to me “We could so do this!” board.

Hi Lisa,
I “found” your blog yesterday. I really like what you do here.
Thanks for the “quick” project. I will have to try this sometime soon.
Take care,
Nancy

This is simply too cute “dawg!” The American Idol comment made me laugh! And the teacher in me who is forever more scrutinizing… the little typo “cratfer” caught my eye up at the top!
