Pinterest Friday Numero Trece

Look at me….I can get all the way to 13 in Spanish!  I amaze myself sometimes.

If you’ve been here for more than a year you know that I become a tax widow on January 1 and proceed to occupy myself by doing projects.  I have plans people, big plans.  The boys’ bathroom is calling my name and I can’t wait to get in there, build some shelves and get the urine stink out of every pore.

So in the spirit of January projects, here are a few yummy ideas from Pinterest that I might work into my project frenzy.

I love these moss letters from Dear Lillie.  So cute!

Wouldn’t some of these book page feathers from Todolwen look great on my piano?! It’s the perfect combination of music and farmhouse.

I’m crushing over this book lamp from HGTV.

I really wanted to make some of these for my Christmas mantle, but I couldn’t find any cheap little animals.  But Martha Stewart has definitely sparked my desire to dip things in glitter.

This site, homedit, has 25 ways to make furniture from old pallets.  Now that’s right up my alley!

I’m thinking about using pallets to make shelves for the boys’ bathroom.  Love, love, love an idea that the boys can’t destroy (or if they do it doesn’t matter ‘cuz it was FREE!)

If you need a Pinterest invite let me know.  I’d be thrilled to send you one!

Happy pinning!

  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lisa!! I thought I was the only one who was having issues finding the cute little animals…. if I do find them you will be the first person I call/txt. Do you know what is so crazy? I have done this before and it was so incredibly cute and fun (and messy!!) but my k-4 class had a blast (and their parents loved them!!) Yeah it was the 80’s and we were so INTO glitter and sparkle and “bling”! ha ha!

Well I’m off to cover the inserts in my kitchen cabinet doors in paintable beadboard wallpaper! Wish me… well um, good drying time! Its in the 50’s here today so I will be painting the wallpaper as well. Toodles! and thank you for all the sweet encouraging things you say! You will never know how much it has encouraged me over the past few months!!

  2. I’m in love with the feather pages, or is that page feathers??? Anyway that and the lamp are awesome ideas, although I wasn’t fond of the lamp shade, but to each our own. Love your blog, just not always able to post a reply, but I’m always reading <3

  3. Enjoyed the link to the pallet furniture, thanks!

  4. Just a note to let you know I love, love, love your blog. You are so talented, crafty, and very witty. I sometimes laugh out loud reading your posts, and love the home decorating ideas! Keep all of us in on your projects. Can’t wait to see what you’ll do in the boy’s bathroom.

  5. My sister is a bibliophile….she would love the lamp, too. Me, I’m currently a Kindleophile. Let me know when you find a lamp made out of Kindles 🙂

  6. Pallets are great! My husband is using them to make some raised beds for our garden this year. Can’t wait to see how the shelves turn out! Have fun:)

  7. I made some glittered gourds once and they were fun to do. I’m not very crafty, but I do love glass glitter and it was so fun to see how they came out!

  8. I just started building my boards on pininterest(boy does that take many hours) and somehow I landed here. What a great site you have and I would love an invite to pin interest. Still trying to figure it all out, so not sure how you even send me an invite(or vice versa),but I’m sure you know. Thank you and very excited to follow your ideas!
