Pinterest Friday Numero Ocho

My Pinterest this week is full of ideas for homemade gifts.  Between birthdays and Christmas, we give a lot of gifts and I’m always looking for good ideas to keep the costs down.

My first favorite is this Lemon Salt Scrub from The Beauty Department.  I love what a scrub does for my skin.

These little pots with candles would be a sweet gift.  There’s no link to them in my Pinterest….I hate that.  Whoever made these…they are fabulous!

A long time ago I made homemade vanilla for my friends for Christmas.  I’m seeing it all over Pinterest and thinking, “Hmmm….I should do that again!  I have a lot of new friends….they wouldn’t know I’d done it before.”  These bottles from Bethany Actually are adorable!

This last one is a list from How Does She and it has a TON of great ideas.  What I love most is it frees me from the idea that I have to bake things for my neighbors.  These are darling, fun ideas that are simple and take less time than baking.

If you need a Pinterest invite let me know!  Be warned…..it’s addictive.

  1. I’ve made the lemon scrub before and it is wonderful!!! The candles are lovely!!! Maybe they put some type of styrofoam inside the little pot and then attached the evergreen and placed the candle in the middle.

I so enjoy looking at all all of your Pinterest fridays! I just love looking at all of your ideas!!
    Blessings!

  2. I love your ideas…I think I have a lot of them pinned on my Pinterest, too! I am thinking of doing our Advent wreath out of the sweet little pots with candles:). Have a great day!

  4. I love your pins! I have a question – I was going to email you privately but I haven’t had enough coffee to find the button 😉 What do you do about Santa? Does he exist? Do you draw the line? We always have a Happy Birthday Baby Jesus cake but we also have Santa. I don’t know if I am just feeling blech after the Halloween massacres (not real mind you) on my street, but I am not feeling all Santa is in charge this year. You parent with such wisdom that I thought you would be the one to ask… Bev
