Pinterest Friday Numero Tres

Y’all know that in about three weeks I will run out of numbers that I am familiar with in Spanish, right?  If any of you know how to count past cinco, please let me know.  I am beginning to panic.

I also want to tell you that Pinterest, like anything else out there in Internet world, has some yucky stuff on it that you wouldn’t want your kids to see.

Here’s some not-yucky stuff that I found this week.

One of my boards is called “Things I want to make.”  This has the most pins because I can’t resist a good idea.  I don’t feel any pressure to make all of it, but I sure do like thinking about it.

Some of them are fairly simple, like this wonderful sign….

and some, like this outdoor bedroom, just make me want to melt….

Since I’ve been working on decorating for fall, I keep finding some great ideas.  Skeleton keys on pumpkins….why do I love them so?

I can’t forget the recipes, so many recipes.  How about some Mexican Chicken Lime Soup?

Good grief I need some of that!

Lastly, my words for the day:

Let me know if you want an invite to Pinterest.

Have a great weekend!

  1. I have enjoyed reading your blog for quite some time now and do not remember how I originally found it. This is my first comment. I would like a Pininterest invite. Blessings to you and your family.

  2. Okay, the outside bedroom has me melting also. Can you even imagine being out there all cudddled up with a good book and the rain falling all around you? Do you think I could just sneak this onto Mark’s “To Build” list without him knowing?

  3. Kim, I sent you an invite! Welcome to Pinterest. 🙂

MamaHen, Oh yes! The book and the rain….exactly what I would consider the perfect afternoon. I doubt Mark would notice the addition to his to-build list. I mean, we never really get it all done anyway, right? What’s one more thing?

  4. I love your blog. You motivate me! I would like to request an invitation, please. I’m jumping into Pinterest after resisting for so long – because apparently I need another distraction…………!

  5. OH oh oh…. I can help with the spanish!! (read bouncing up and down in her seat with arm raised and wildly waving in the air… yep I was sometimes that girl in school but not very often ha ha!) see I learned to speak it eons ago… in high school and then in the air force as a spanish linguist…. well i learned to read it far better than speak it and I can still eavesdrop when necessary… (did I just admit that?? ha ha!)

And I see you have my outdoor bedroom pinned!! 🙂 ok so its not really mine but I oh so love it! I can see it now…. surrounded by goldenrod tucked back by the apple orchard with the main house in sight all sitting on 60 acres in hilly new york. I know we live in Indiana but we do own a small “farm” in NY where we hope to retire to… once we have the new well dug, replace the copper pipes that were stolen, and a new septic system put in. (it WILL happen!!)

    Enjoy your weekend!

  6. Karen, I sent your invite! I hope you don’t get too distracted. 🙂

Peggy…hooray for high school Spanish and your linguist experience. Did you ever think it would come in useful years later (not too many years, of course) for your friend who writes a ridiculous blog column using Spanish numbers? After I hit 5….I need you to send me a list. 🙂 And when you get that bedroom built I will expect an invitation to your New York dream house with copper pipes.

    Lisa~

  7. I’m enjoying Pinterest as well since my invite 😉

You might be interested to know that around here, there are lovely round outdoor beds, often placed near pools for lounging. Sometimes rectangle ones with gauzy curtains. Not “here” at my house but the bigger here of my current country 😉 I would *love* that at my house….(sigh).

If Peggy fails you with the Spanish, I can send Portuguese. It’s close enough…
