Pinterest Friday Numero Quatro

Yesterday I went into Pinterest to discover they had made some changes.  It’s just small things like moving buttons and tabs.  I hope they don’t go all Facebook on me and switch everything around.  I get confused easily.

This week on I found a bunch of things my kids would love.  Since I have 9 Christmas stockings to fill I’ve been on a hunt for cheap, easy things I can make myself.  I am going to make some of these for my boys.

Squishy balloons.  They are filled with Playdough.  Genius, right?

While we’re on subject of things for kids, here’s a great idea for a surprise lunch.  I probably won’t put these in their Christmas stockings though.

I’ve also been focused on fall decorating ideas.  I love this simple and inexpensive jar filler with a candle.

I can’t get through a Pinterest Friday without sharing a recipe.  My number one I-might-actually-try-this recipe of the week has to be this brownie.  Just the picture makes me swoon.

And I can never leave you without one of the simple sayings that I love so much.  This one is from an etsy shop called VinylLettering.

If you want a Pinterest invitation let me know.  I’ll be happy to send you one!

Have a great weekend.

  1. I love the hotdog and spaghetti pin! I will definitely have to give that one a try! Have you ever made Gack (spelling???) for the boys? It is slime like concoction made from cornstarch and glue if I remember correctly. I have the recipe if you are interested. Do you have any stocking stuffer/gift ideas for a 6 year old girl who doted upon by her mother’s family and has virtually everything? Thanks!

    Love the saying!!

  2. Hi Lisa!
I was looking through my feed today and saw your link to my hurricane vases! What a fun Friday morning surprise! Thank you for posting!

I love the idea of posting our favorite Pinterest finds!

    Have a great weekend.
    Blessings,
    Amanda

  3. Peggy, I definitely want the recipe for Gack! Send it to me and I will post it for everyone. Thanks!

Amanda, your blog is darling! I’m so glad Pinterest brought us together. 🙂

    Lisa~

  4. Here’s how retentive I am… I’m thinking the color of the play dough must match the balloon color. Just a peek at (one of) my neurosis…

Good pins. Are those “healthy” brownies? Or just good ones?

  5. Okay seriously, the playdough balloons? Amazing. I have one of James’ Christmas presents crossed off the list. Last year I went all around the world trying to find the perfect gift for his “growing little mind” that would also be “fun”. And you know what he played with after opening the presents? A piece of cardboard that he called his IPOD. He carried it around all day and talked on it.

    Loving the balloons!

  6. When I saw that spaghetti/hot dog combo a few weeks back I immediately thought “Tentacle Reef”! I’ll have to have a TR party as I continue to show off that clever movie and serve those hot dogs as snacks. Maybe with those Jell-O/Swedish fish desserts? I’d better get planning!
