Autumn Beck, thanks for the support on the thong/pole dancer comment. I so agree, but you said it better/more straight-forward than I did.

I hadn't heard that about Craigslist; glad I live where it's not an option anyway!

oh and i had to come back to make a comment about Craigslist :)

1) They openly and knowingly allow prostitution advertisements.
2) Children and women are being exploited in the worst way.

This article has great points: http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/08/03/craigslist.sex.ads/index.html

My favorite quotes (in case you don't want to read it all):

*"Craigslist is like the Wal-Mart of online sex trafficking right now in this country."

*For all its reforms, they say Craigslist still has no way of knowing whether the females being sold are women or girls and is doing too little to help police identify and rescue children who are being sold for sex.

*According to internet research firm the AIM Group, Craigslist this year is expected to earn a third of its revenue -- more than $36 million -- from its adult services section alone.

*To another national advocacy group, the Rebecca Project, there's only one answer to Craigslist's adult services dilemma: Shut it down.

Paisley likes to talk quiet sometimes and it drives me crazy. That's when I have to practice being a nice, patient mommy.

I'm trying to figure out the whole "thong=pole dancer" comment. Not sure I'd teach an untrue generalization like that. Better to be honest.

I just found your blog. And I had a roommate in college that we called "Little Voice". We weren't really that nice to her. Now I wish I would have been a lot nicer to a lot of people along the way. I think we DO need more low-talkers in the world.

Craigslist is one of my nearest and dearest friends. I would not be able to have a couch without Craigslist (and maybe having a loving Father didn't hurt either). ;)

I firmly believe Twitter is completely unneccessary. I have yet to see its purpose revealed.

Love your blog. My grandmother is one of 9 children and my grandfather is one of 11. I have one so far. I'm intrigued and also scared crazy of having a big family. Is there a test somewhere that will tell me if I could hack it????

thongs: a certain something we can wear to delight our husbands if we so choose, pole dancer or no.

TP: agreed. skip the sticky stuff, people - put it on the roll!, and tp makers, can you please make soft that doesn't = lint left behind??? Please????

Crock pots, your dinner, etc.: wow. Just wow. Two crocks and a rice cooker for one dinner. I should not be amazed, but I am. The logistics of big families just amaze me. That is so cool.

Facebook, etc.: Me neither. I was on FB for about 2 days before the headache and insanity compelled me to close my account completely. I Just. Don't. Get It.

My question: why, when I reward her with treats and praise and petting galore for pottying in the RIGHT spot, does my puppy still insist, even with doors open and no medical reason, on pottying in the wrong spot sometimes? Like today, when she pottied literally at the threshold of the wide open door to outside, less than an hour after she'd last gone outside. She couldn't make the 10 more feet to the grass? Seriously?? ...sigh....

At the last conference we attended, one of the speakers said "Facebook is living proof that our lack of a deep prayer life can not be excused by a lack of time." Wow, that really made me think. God's Blessings, Cherie

Hilarious!!! I too have a low talker son and a son that couldn't talk low if forced to. Both equally frustrating. I actually have tried reading lips on my low talker. It just seems easier than trying to get him to speak up. Or I have tried using context clues-like if he mumbles and smells maybe he is asking me if he can take a shower. Its exhausting trying to understand him! But I love him anyway and I am hoping "this too shall pass."

So I once had a Twitter account. But I kept getting requests from not so nice people. Like when I would click on their request it would show certain body parts that...well you get what I mean. So I wondered WHY am I getting these tweets? Have you ever googled your name? It seems mine belongs to a "author" who writes a certain type of novels...not exactly romance novels. Once again you get my drift. So the Twitter account is gone baby gone. I never really got it anyway. Now, Facebook is lovely. I have connected with friends from elementary school, junior high, highschool and college. I love it.
