The Stone Grill

This monstrocity has been sitting in my backyard forever. Since before the dawn of time.  And I’ve always hated it.

We are working on a big, BIG, top secret backyard project.  This forced James to finally, FINALLY get say we could get rid of it.

We gave Jacob the sledge hammer and told him he could take out all of his aggressions on the pit.

And while he was at it, go ahead and unleash on the smaller pit that was about 8 feet away.

Then we brought the work crew in to haul off the rocks.

Oh boy that feels good.

  1. The family that demolitions together, stays together! 🙂

I have a funny post planned for Monday and on Wednesday I will be hosting a lovely giveaway. Hope you’ll stop by.

  2. We have something similar, less of an eyesore, but still an old brick bbq/grill thing with a chimney and whatnot. I finally turned it into a humongous planter but now I see that it might be a great stress relief tool if I sledge hammer it to pieces….I’ll keep that in mind.

  3. Good Job! It’s looking great. Can’t wait to see what you’re up to.
    Come see me.

  4. Hey, I kind of liked it. It was like an ancient ruin. But if your hatred made you relish in its demolition it certainly needed to go. It didn’t look very useful, in any case. This is my first time around these parts, lovely blog design! I’ll check back for more updates!
