BASISK with a twist

Have you ever hung a pendant lamp in the wrong spot, thus leaving a giant hole in your ceiling?

You haven’t?  Oh.  Uh, yeah.  Me neither.

But I did hang a couple of pendant lights in my newly finished living room.  They are BASISK from IKEA, $16.99 baby!  And the smaller one was only $9.99.

I wanted to add my own touch to them.  So I covered the cords with what I had leftover from taking down the old ceiling light.

And I used my Cricut to make swirls.

I like that they act like a lamp, but they don’t use space on the table.

I got a foot switch so we can easily turn them on.  At first we were hanging our bodies over the side of the sofa, reaching to the floor, almost knocking things off of the table and plugging them in.  That wasn’t going to work.

All in all it cost me under $30 for a fun and unique lamp.

Now I just need to cover that hole in the ceiling…..
