The Wedding, Part 1

Wow!  What an unbelievable wedding!

God honoring, Christ centered, worshipful….a dream come true for Tara and Stephen.

I am sorry I don’t have any great pictures.  I didn’t have my camera before the ceremony.  I will beg, borrow and steal some from other people that were there, but for now here are a few….

Rehearsal….

It wasn’t just about dear, old friends.  We made some dear, new friends too!

The dresses were so beautiful.  They were modest and lovely.  But this stole the show….

Here comes the bride….

A peek at the bridesmaid dresses…..

This is the only picture I got of my girls.  Jacob was so busy the whole time that I didn’t even get one photo of him.  In fact, I only saw him for about 5 minutes.

I am telling you, it was amazing.  This bride and groom dedicated themselves to purity and to their parents and families and that was reflected in the wedding service.  What an honor to be there when a couple has their very first kiss.  How sweet to hear their families praying for them and welcoming each of them into their families.

It was a blessing for my children to see firsthand that it is possible in this evil world to hold to a higher standard.  Nothing is impossible with God!

  2. Great photos! Thanks for sharing them! When we look at the picture of Grace and Amy it’s like so strange to see both of Hannah’s friends together down in TX! The dresses were beautiful and yes, the wedding was very God-honoring! Looking forward to the next part!

  3. Lori K. and Hannah, I put that picture up just for you! It’s a teaser for when you come to visit us in the fall! Lisa~

  4. Dear Precious Family,

It was such a joy and honor to have all of your precious family with us for the wedding.
The girls looked so beautiful and Jacob so handsome. We heard from Stephen and Tara and they are joyfully celebrating. The Lord bless you, dear friends. The Riddell Family

  5. What a wonderful thing to be a part of. It is such a blessing and encouragement to see that in fact our children can/do wait and honor the LORD with their purity.

Your comment on Barnes and Noble was right on. My little Emma say a book cover that scared her. We have been working since yesterday to focus on things that are “lovely and pure” while asking the LORD to remove the image from her precious mind. Guess we’ll stick with Amazon from now on too.

  6. DEAR Penningtons,

What an incredible blessing from the Lord it was to meet your family at the wedding! You became precious friends in just a couple of days… There is such a beautiful bond in Jesus and like hearts! I loved meeting you all and having such good talks with Grace. Mom and Dad so enjoyed and were blessed by their times to talk with Mr. and Mrs. Pennington. So sweet to share this journey together! May the Lord richly bless you as you continue to seek Him! We hope to see you again in the near future!
