Last Day of Co-op

Today was the last day of our Spring Co-op.  Our homeschool group pulls together to create a parent taught co-op each fall and spring.

I taught two cinematography classes.  Well, truthfully, Grace and Jacob taught the class and I stood over their shoulders learning along with the students.

My 9AM class……

And my 11:00 class…..

We showed our completed films today at the presentation.  My classes were so clever and funny with their movies.  I was really proud of them.

A whole crowd turned out for the presentation.

Oh MAN, I love these people!  They are the heart and soul of what homeschooling and community is all about.

Most of the classes did some kind of presentation.

A couple of my boys were in a history class.  Each week they studied a decade in the 1900’s.  This teacher/mom was so great.  She would dress the part each week and give the kids snacks and prizes from those time periods.  All of her students were dressed for their favorite decade.

And check out these groovy duds!

Their anatomy class was also a hit.  Noah and Adam learned all about their kidneys…..

It’s too bad we can’t all take all of the classes.  I would have LOVED for my kids to learn sign language.  This precious class is taught by my sweet friend.

My little Elijah is a quiet one….but he held his own during the presentation.

It was a great co-op.  I am so thankful to have these people in my life.

What a blessing!

  1. You are so blessed to be near so many people! We are putting together a co-op next year since three kids in our church happen to be doing apologia chemistry… and my mother in law is a chemistry sort of person. She’ll love teaching that class. We just have to figure out what to do with the younger kids…

  2. Oh, yea!! Great photos! I will need to get copies.

It really was a delight to teach the students the song in ASL. They worked hard.

It’s exhausting, but so rewarding to watch parents and children come together to bless one another with their talents and godly knowledge.

  3. We’re always sad to see Co-op end, but the fall session will be here before we know it!

Elijah was a joy to have in Beginner’s Beginning Drawing. I think his display picture was, as professional artist, Ms. Cheney suggested, the “Best in Show”! (And I had a kid in my class too…so there ya’ go…)
