Hostess Gifts

Our dear friends are planning a wedding.  In fact, if you’d like to read more about their courtship story, go to their blog and be blessed!

The mother of the bride is one of my most trusted friends.  She and I have been encouraging each other in our relationship with Christ for the past 16+ years.  I wish I could find the words to tell you how grateful I am to Him for her friendship.

I feel privileged to be able to help with the wedding in a small way. I am helping with the hostess gifts.  I know it’s just a little thing, but my goal was to lift her load, if only a tiny bit.

I created an embroidery design just for their wedding.  They asked for the Scripture that is “their verse.” Deuteronomy 10:21….”He is your God who has done these great and awesome things.”

This adorable bride loves the beach and there is a beach theme running through the entire wedding.

She chose the colors for the gifts and they sent me some ideas and I put together their hostess gifts for their showers.

My pile……

I put their verse on kitchen towels and aprons.

For a couple of women that went above and beyond, I put their initial also.

To make it all more “beachy”, I cut out little tags with a sand castle in it.  Then I cut slightly larger circles with paper the color of sand.

and glued them together.

I wrapped the personalized towels around boxes of tea and tied it all together with ribbon and raffia.

Look how sweet they are!

Here are the finished gifts….

A better look at the towels….

I also made her a market tote to match.  So when she carries her hostess gifts into the shower she can be all coordinated.

I just added the market totes to my Etsy shop, if you want one for yourself!

What a joy it is to serve my friend.  How great is our God who gives us each talents and then shows us how we can use them to bless others.

(Don’t forget to enter our giveaway!  It ends Monday at Midnight.)
