You Can Never Have Too Many Pumpkins

A friend said to me, “I know someone that needs to get rid of two 14 foot long pews. I thought maybe you would like to have them.”

Seriously?!….uh…yes!

Pews are just the thing I wanted for my front porch. They invoke the feeling of worship and peace. At least they do it for me.

These aren’t exactly like the pews I used to sit on with my grandmother when she took me to the First Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. These are homemade. But they were free and I love them!

We put them facing each other. Now we can have family church the Amish way….men on one side, women on the other.

But I can’t stop at 28 feet of pews….I have to add some pumpkins and bows. It wouldn’t be fall without them.

A little vignette of pumpkins and one of my favorite flea market finds….my milk can.

The front door. Since I don’t have an entryway inside, I use this as my entry outside.

I never scrapbook anymore, so I am glad to find uses for my old scrapbooking tools. I made vinyl die cuts for a bunch of the pumpkins.

I made one with our last name and another with our address….but I can’t show you those. If I did, this message would have to self destruct.

I do love the fall…..it’s easy decorating, cool weather and it leads to the holidays.

And now I can sit on my pews and enjoy it.

This will be reposted on my second blog.
