Fall Table Runner

If you know me at all (and sadly for you, you know me better than you ever wanted to) then you know I LOVE me some fall decorations.

Really, I love changing from one season to another…. Fall goes into Christmas. Christmas morphs into winter. Winter to Valentine’s Day. To spring. To summer. And back to fall.

And of course, I need a table runner for each season. I mean, life isn’t complete without it.

But I didn’t have one for fall. I know. Shocking. Sad.

But don’t you worry about me. I remedied that situation.

Again with my passion for free/cheap….. $3.99 for the whole thing.

I found this fabric at Walmart. It was pretty shiny, which wasn’t what I wanted. So I turned the fabric inside out and used the “wrong” side.

If lovin’ you is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.

I embroidered words on it. Fall type words like “Fall” and “Autumn”. Does my cleverness amaze you? I thought so.

I also put our last name on it and other words that make me feel all warm and cozy inside.

Since I made it, I could have it be any size I want. I was in complete control, which of course is my favorite position to be in.

After I embroidered the words I quilted it. I just followed the swirly pattern on the fabric and did a fun, swirly quilting stitch. Did I mention swirly already?

Then I bound it and I was finished. Easy peasy.

I really should make one for the other table in the dining room. Then they would be twins. They’d be so cute, like Mary Kate and Ashley.

Or I could just get started on runners for Christmas. Because, like I said, it’s all about the table runners.

This will be reposted on my second blog.
