An Anniversary
August 31, 1963.
She was 17 and he was 19.
They had dreams of making a life together. A life full of love and joy and success.
Dad says this picture still makes his heart stop.
Mom says he’s still the handsomest man she knows.
I’d say they made it to those dreams…..
I think she’s more beautiful now than she was 46 years ago.
And his smile always makes me feel better.
46 years, 3 kids, 13 grandchildren. Successful careers, a beautiful home, wonderful friends….what says more about a life together than that?
They are as much in love now as they ever were. They’d rather be together than with anyone else in the world. That’s the legacy they pass on to us.
